Powers

Powers function exactly as represented in 4th edition, apart from a few key details:

  • Each power has a refresh cost that must be paid before the power can be used again. This most often consists of a number of actions that need to be invested (still allowing for conversion), and sometimes a particular set of circumstances, or an outright expenditure of some resource. The refresh cost will be thematically in-line with the character class utilising the power.
  • Magic items are simply items with one or more powers and/or properties encoded in them. Typically the item will have a particular set of refresh requirements for any powers contained therein. Certain classes may be able to override the refresh requirements with their own powers.
